GERTRUD

Gertrud is our automatic Start-System.
In each regatta, that she rules, she is placed on the committee boat or another place, where she is the right end of the start line.
Gertrud initializes the start-sequence as soon someone close to her presses button A on the handle.
Gertrud confirms this with a very short beep. One minute later she gives a 5 seconds long sound, which is the 5 minutes signal for the race. The four and one minutes signal are short. The start signal is again 5 seconds long.
One minute before the start, Gertrud begins making photos along the start line to check OCSes .

Hopefully she takes still photos when the boats return to the finish. Gertrud is depend on the direction, the committee boat points.
Gertrud cannot replace a human committee, but in doubt her photos could be helpful.
The pictures can only be analyzed later at home.
