Fuego regattas are known for their extraordinary courses. This time Gertrud is going to start us. The course takes us to the winward mark (mark 1), which we leave to starboard. The next mark (wing mark) takes us to the right (reach) and will also be left to starboard. From there we go back to the first mark, which !!! we also leave to starboard!!! but we have to completely round it. Downwind we sail to the start line wihich is now a gate. You pass the line and decide yourself to round the pin mark or the rib for the second lap which takes us exactly around the course as the first lap.
